The Countdown Is On

In just a mere 7 hours our 2016 Dominican Republic mission team will be gathering at the church building, doing final luggage checks, taking our team photo, and saying a prayer for safe travel and most of all open hearts. Our travel day will take us first to O'Hare airport in Chicago, then a quick layover in Atlanta GA before boarding the plane to our final destination - Santiago Dominican Republic. We are excited that we will arrive in the daylight so all of the newbies on the trip will get to experience the sites and sounds in full view.

Our team humbly asks for your prayers as we embark on the week that God has in store for us. As Rose and Verray wrote in the letter they sent out to their sponsors just a few days ago, "We are aware that the thing that qualified us for this task was simply our 'yes'. We wanted to go. We wanted to be used. The only way we know to do that is to show up - and we need Him to be present! So our prayer, for every single day of this week, Father help us to put our feet to the ground and show up!"
